Terms of Service
The terms governing a merchant’s use of Chargeback Recovery.
Effective 30 August 2026 · Version 1.0

Acceptance and authority
By installing, accessing, or using Chargeback Recovery, the merchant agrees to these Terms and the incorporated Privacy Policy, Data Retention Policy, and Data Processing Addendum, and confirms that the person acting for the store has authority to bind that business. If the merchant does not agree, it must not use the service.
Chargeback Recovery is independent from Shopify. The merchant’s Shopify agreement remains separate.
Service scope
The service identifies LOST Shopify Payments disputes, helps the merchant review and prepare recovery cases, stores merchant-approved case information and evidence, and presents local recovery tracking.
The service does not guarantee eligibility, acceptance, collection, outcome, timing, or recovery amount and is not legal advice.
Merchant responsibility
The merchant is responsible for the accuracy, legality, authority, and completeness of each recovery case, debtor detail, statement, and evidence item it reviews, edits, saves, or later approves for submission.
The merchant must use the service only for legitimate business debts and chargeback recovery, comply with applicable law, and must not upload unlawful, malicious, misleading, or unrelated material.
Preparation does not contact customers
Finding, creating, editing, or marking a case ready does not by itself contact a customer or create a Shopify Draft Order payment request.
Recovery communications and payment requests
After the merchant explicitly starts recovery, the service may send the approved collection-email sequence and create a Shopify Draft Order payment request. No debt collection agency is involved.
Privacy and data processing
The Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy describe current data handling and are incorporated by reference into these Terms. The Security Incident Response Policy describes the current response process.
The Data Processing Addendum is incorporated by reference into these Terms and applies whenever Chargeback Recovery processes personal data on the merchant’s behalf.
Acceptable use and security
The merchant must protect its Shopify account, limit authorised users, and must not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the service, bypass security controls, or use another merchant’s or customer’s data outside the stated recovery purpose.
Changes and availability
We may update the service and these Terms as the product develops. Material changes and their effective version will be published at this stable route. Continued use after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Features may be limited or suspended where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, maintenance, or service integrity.
